Policy & Public Affairs

The Policy and Public Affairs program area is aimed at examining timely topics affecting Arkansas and the well-being of all its citizens. During his 20 years in Arkansas, Governor Winthrop Rockefeller hosted more than 200 conferences and meetings at his home at Winrock Farms. Many of these conferences, attended by state and national leaders, hammered out solutions for Arkansas’ most difficult crises and provided a necessary spark to improve public and private sector policymaking.

Today, policy and public affairs programming at the Institute is intended to provide objective information, create a free exchange of ideas, and generate productive debate. Programs include those initiated by the Institute and those co-sponsored by organizations and institutions with similar objectives.
